SPRING MUSIC JAMBOREE
runs from Monday 2nd to Tuesday 3rd April 2012 from 9.30am to 3.00pm at
Cippenham Primary School, Elmshott Lane, Slough

Pupils who live or school in Slough are eligible to join the courses, which are free of charge
Applicants must live or attend school in Slough, and be aged between 7 and 18 years old

There are five courses available:

If you do not play an instrument, you can join our World Drumming Festival or Young Voices Choir

If you already play an instrument and are having lessons, you can join the Instrumental Ensembles

All courses runs for two days, and participants will be required to attend for all days
All courses end with a performance for family and friends at the end of the second day

WORLD DRUMMING FESTIVAL

Anyone can join our percussion workshops, which will enthuse students in a one day festival of
African and Steel Pan drumming

SLOUGH YOUNG VOICES CHOIR

Anyone who enjoys singing, and is in school years 4 to 9 can join our choir.
No experience necessary, just come along and join in

String Orchestra

For violin, viola, cello and
double bass players from
beginner upwards

Wind / Brass band

If you play the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone or any other wind or brass instrument, this band is for you

PLEASE NOTE THESE GROUPS ARE FOR PUPILS WHO ARE ALREADY LEARNING AND HAVING LESSONS ON THEIR INSTRUMENT - THE COURSE DOES NOT TEACH YOU TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, BUT IS AN ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY PLAY AN INSTRUMENT

Our holiday courses are validated by the Children's University in Slough. If your child's school is participating in this scheme, they can be rewarded for taking part.

All activities are led by Slough Music Service tutors and national workshop leaders

Places are limited and will be allocated in order of application. Please apply soon to avoid disappointment
